Mark O. Lynch MD, FACS

Dr. Mark Lynch is the founder of our surgical group. He is a board certified general surgeon who has been in practice in Terre Haute since 1987. Dr. Lynch graduated with a B.A. in chemistry and received his medical degree from Indiana University with highest honors. He completed his general surgery residency training at the Carillon Medical Center in Roanoke, Virginia.​ Dr. Lynch has an exceptionally broad-based practice due to his vast training and experience. He also is a well recognized teacher and mentor for both medical students and residents. His enthusiasm for surgery inspired all three of his children to become general surgeons. He enjoys working alongside his children, adopting the best practices from his extensive experience and the latest in modern technology.

Christopher Lueking MD, FACS

Dr. Christopher Lueking, a highly experienced surgeon, has been with the group since 2000. He is our second most seasoned surgeon. He embarked on his medical journey with a Chemical Engineering degree from Rose Hulman Institute of Technology, followed by a medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine. His general surgery residency was completed at Michigan State University.

Dr. Lueking is adept in a diverse range of surgical procedures, including open, laparoscopic, and robotic techniques.

Rebecca Lynch MD, FACS

Dr. Rebecca Lynch, a board-certified general surgeon, has been offering her expertise in Terre Haute since 2015. She holds undergraduate degrees in Mathematics and Biochemistry from the University of Michigan and earned her medical degree from Wayne State University. Her general surgical residency was completed at Summa Akron Health System.


Dr. Rebecca Lynch is proficient in a broad spectrum of general surgical procedures, including minimally invasive surgery and endoscopy. She is passionate about patient care, leadership, and education. From 2019 to 2022, she served as the Medical Director and Chair of the Department of Surgery at Union Health System. Since 2022, she has been serving as the Chief Medical Officer and Vice President of Medical Affairs at Union Health, leading with a commitment to excellence in patient care.


An active participant in the American Medical Women’s Association, Dr. Lynch takes pleasure in engaging in community and student outreach events.

Brandon Lynch MD, FACS

Dr. Brandon Lynch, a board-certified general surgeon and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, joined the practice in 2017. He graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor's of Science in Biochemistry from the University of Notre Dame. His medical education continued at Indiana University School of Medicine, followed by a general surgery residency at Summa Akron Health System, where he also received Da Vinci robotic training certification.


Post-residency, Dr. Lynch has further honed his skills with advanced robotic training, focusing on complex hernia repair and lung surgery. He stays abreast of the latest developments in general surgery through specialized conferences.


Dr. Lynch has a keen interest in robotic surgery, particularly in the areas of lung, reflux, hernia, and colorectal surgeries. His experience spans routine procedures like inguinal hernia repairs and cholecystectomies to more complex surgeries such as lung lobectomies and abdominal wall reconstructions with component separation. As of July 2024, he has successfully completed over 800 robotic procedures.

Photo Nicholas Lynch

Nicholas Lynch MD, FACS

Dr. Nicholas Lynch is certified by the American Board of Surgery in general surgery and has been practicing in Terre Haute since 2019. He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He received his undergraduate degree in Physics in Medicine from the University of Notre Dame, obtained his medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine, and completed residency at Summa Akron Health System. 

 

Born and raised in Terre Haute, he is happy to provide the community with the full spectrum of general surgical care and increase access to current minimally invasive robotic/laparoscopic procedures. He values continuing medical education and teaches medical students as an adjunct clinical assistant professor of surgery with IUSM. 

Photo Rachel Jones

Rachel Jones MD, MPH

Dr. Rachel Jones joined the Lynch Surgical Group in 2024. She completed her undergraduate degree at Emory University in Neuroscience and Behavioral Biology, obtained both her medical degree and a master's degree in public health from Northwestern University, and finally completed her general surgery residency training at The Valley Health System program in Las Vegas, NV.

Dr. Jones has an interest in performing a vast array of general surgical procedures including minimally invasive and robotic surgery.

She has a special interest in improving health equity and disparities within underserved communities and looks forward to helping to improve the health of the population in Terre Haute and its surrounding areas through surgical practice.

Timothy Diaz DO

Courtney Thomson FNP

Courtney Thomson is a board-certified family nurse practitioner who joined the practice in 2019. She graduated from Indiana State University (ISU) in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science in life science and minor in chemistry. She completed a Bachelor of Science in nursing at ISU in 2012.  Courtney attained her Master of Science Family Nurse Practitioner from ISU in 2019.  

 

Courtney works with our general surgeons in a variety of settings. She assists with surgical procedures, and she also sees patients in the office and the hospital.

Staci Winning CNP

Staci Winning has been with the practice previously as an RN and since 2022 as a certified nurse practitioner. She assists with surgical procedures as well as managing patients both in the office and the hospital.
